Data handling
How we collect, store and delete applicant data, and what we deliver to customers.
Consent
- Recording
- We ask permission before recording an interview. Interviews are used only to assess applications and are not licensed.
- Records
- We keep the wording each applicant agreed to, its version and the time. These records cannot be edited.
- Withdrawal
- Applicants can withdraw consent or delete their application from their application link.
Read the current consent wording.
Recordings and files
- Access
- Files are private. Reviewers access them through links that expire within minutes.
- Encryption
- Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
- Retakes
- Discarded takes are not uploaded.
Deletion
- Deletion
- Deleting an application or withdrawing consent deletes the files it covered.
- Verification
- Each deletion is checked and retried until the file is gone.
- Audit log
- Deletions are recorded in a log that cannot be edited.
Data delivered to labs
- Rights
- Deliveries include only work made under an agreement that allows it to be licensed.
- Records
- Each record lists its licence, and we log what was delivered to whom.
- Delivery
- Files are delivered through expiring links.
